1.古代诸侯称国，大夫称家；

2.指皇帝；

3.是阶级统治的机关。



《辞海》的解释告诉我们：第一，“国家”在古代纯粹是一个政治概念；

第二，“国家”的政治概念随时代的变化而变化。



《现代汉语词典》对“国家”一词的解释是：



1.阶级统治的工具；

2.指一个国家的整个区域。



《现汉》的解释告诉我们，在现代汉语中，“国家”一词已经有了两个概念，



一个是政治概念，

一个是地域概念。



作为政治概念使用的“国家”专指“三部分”之一的政权，

作为地域概念使用的“国家”专指“三部分”之一的地域。



举例说吧。“我国是一个人均资源占有量很少的国家”，——这句话里的“国家”指的就是地域，
