The Road

It is a road we have been dreaming
but uncertain how it leads us
It is the road we want to reach somewhere
but every step forward is full of surprise and enlightenment
every step upward is a new height we won't reach on our own
It becomes our road through life
back further past
into further future
Every step inward gets us closer
until we thought we couldn't but still go on
It is the road we could actually feel towards eternity
