It is fun to observe the Newton's Cradle in action
the two balls lifting specifically
The middle one just passes through momentum from either side
much like a mid-level manager does
could swing to either side
The difference from the ball in the real cradle
they tend to get laid off more often
as much as they like to stand in the middle
