儿子来电说，美国国庆节那天，他乘美军HueyCobra（黑鹰）直升飞机，开着门，空悬双腿于机身外，盘旋巡视纽约自由女神头像上空，自豪之心油然升起。此刻的他是西点军校陆军空勤直升机学生暑期训练官。大兵哥，你勇敢把年轻的自己献给祖国，我为你骄傲！
1972年中美建交时，还没上小学的我，在广州第一眼见到美国国旗，就爱上这星条旗的美丽。直到如今，我依然深深地爱她的宽容，博爱，自由，民主，盼望。无论是在中国还是在地球的哪个角落，每当我听到美国国歌，看她的人民在歌声中自动将手放在胸前的真诚，我都会被感动到热泪盈眶。自从我们离开故国，投奔这个有星条旗的国度，就知道再也回不去了。我爱这个国家，我愿儿子们勤力效劳这个国家，愿上帝继续祝福这个伟大国家！亲爱的美国，生日快乐！
