You have a full size stroller already, and you want a second stroller for your one years old baby, here are something you should think about befor eyou buy:
Who’s Riding?
One year old baby still need full recline stroller since they still sleep in the stroller sometimes. How big is your baby? A bog size baby like Ryan or a regular size baby, since some brands are better for a big size babies, and some are not
Who's pushing the most
5-foot 100 lb. mom or 6-foot 200 lb. dad make differences, such as Bugaboo Baby Strollers seem to be designed for taller people from my piont of view.
Where do you want to go?
Are you a urbanites or live in the suburbs? Do you like to jogging with the baby or just love to visit the mall?
Actually it is quite hard, so many brands out there make our life even worse, here just some my picks for the strollers for one year old baby.
1)Combi City Savvy Stroller ($120)
Pro:Very light(only 11 lbs),full recline, very comfortable, easy to fold
Cons:Too narrow(hard for a big baby), small wheels (My wife hated the pushing experience),the straps are sized too big
2)Peg Perego Aria OH ($200)
Pro:Lightweight,Full recline,Easy to fold,Big storage area underneath,Sun shade that really works,Good fabric
Cons:The "recline" option is a bit clumsy to use, The harness is a little complicated,Hard to reach the storage basket(I think the design should be improved,The cupholder at the top really easy to be broken(Our P3 one already broke 3 times)
3)Inglesina Swift ($100)
Pro:Lightweight,Almost FULL recline, inexpensive,good basket
Cons:No Leg Extention,No cup holder,The folding process is not intuitive and it's certainly not a one-hand process, Wheel locks way too tight
4)Maclaren Quest ($200)
Pro:Light, Easy to operate, Very compact when it's folded, everything you need for a light weight stroller
Cons:Could not be FULL recline, no cup holder, better for a kids around 2 when they do not need too much "sleeping" any more
5)Baby Trend Trendsport Lite ($40)
Pro:Inexpensive, Almost Full recline, Lightweight,Sturdy
Cons:Unstable,Rough ride,The steering is very hard,The lap bar doesn't open up, which make it hard to get the baby out.
*This not a post about Umbrella Strollers
*I did not discuss any stroller over $300, which I personally think are overpriced for a second stroller
*I did not discuss any jogging stroller, which I will make a separate post
