I see a 5 maybe a 6 games Lakers win.

PJ and Kobe are obvious the upper hands vs Rockets.

However, I am going to disagree on a few strengths you mentioned that LA possesses.

1. Fisher is too slow or AB and not strong enough for Lowry. Certainly he's a veteran who has tons of experiences and 3 rings, but Lowry and AB has one hard-fought series under their belts, some of the anxiety and pressure is gone. Fisher will make a few big shots, but he's far from the deciding factor, while Lowry could bring real sparks from the bench.

2. Gasol - Yao never dominated him, and it's not ideal coverage of Yao when Pau pulls out for mid-range jumpers. But they were usually a wash-up, be in Memphis, LA, or national teams, meaning Gasol never shuts Yao down either, and he can't guard Yao down low one on one.

3. Bench - unlike previous years, Rockets do have a quality bench this time, the main reason they passed the first round. With Wafer, who was dumped by the Lakers, who's always motivated and not afraid to take big shots (you have strip the ball away from him:)), Lowry, a strong defender, strong hands, and tough but clear mind, a very athletic Landry with a descent jumper. It's not a clear cut that LA bench outperforms Houston's, unless they bring Lamar Odom from the bench, that relates to my next point.

4. I think the biggest advantage LA has over Rockets is Lamar Odom. He's so versatile and skilled. He's long, athletic, who can shoot even the 3s; he is strong, who can defend and rebound; he sees the floor well and runs the floor well. The question is, whether PJ starts him or brings him from the bench. If he's started, he's a walking mismatch for everyone on Rockets, and Gasol will be playing Yao, which is a tough cover for Yao Ming. However, if PJ is starting Bynym, who's taller and stronger, but can't front Yao effectively and won't pose much offensive threat to Yao. That could be a very favorable matchup to Houston.

If LO starts, this could be a short series for Rockets, unless Yao puts up insane numbers. But if Bynum starts, Rockets has a 5% chance to pull a shocking surprise. After all, they are tested against Portland, young, long, athletic with a superstar at the 2.

Anyways, I agree, it will be a fun series to watch.
