The next day we took some scenic drive near Lake Michigan and checked out small towns like Charlevoix and Petoskey in northwest Michigan.
1. Mackinac Bridge from Mackinaw City.
2. Charlevoix, a picturesque little town.
Just outside Petoskey, we noticed a lot of nice old houses. It turns out this is a religious resort community called Bay View. It is a National Historic Landmark. Most of the houses are built in the nineteenth century. The whole community were well kept and the houses are used during summer for religious retreat.

8. We checked out some state parks along the drive. This is one of the most unique trailers we have seen.
