Ludwig van Beethoven (baptised 17 December 1770 – 26 March 1827) was a German composer and pianist. He was a crucial figure in the transitional period between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western classical music, and remains one of the most acclaimed and influential composers of all time.

Born in Bonn, which was then capital of the Electorate of Cologne and a part of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation in present-day Germany, he moved to Vienna in his early twenties and settled there, studying with Joseph Haydn and quickly gaining a reputation as a virtuoso pianist. His hearing began to deteriorate in the late 1790s, yet he continued to compose, and to conduct and perform, even after becoming completely deaf.

　　“小步舞曲”原是流行于法国农村中的一种民间舞蹈音乐，后来逐渐进入宫廷，成为贵族舞曲。小步舞曲大多采用3/4拍子，中速，节奏平稳，风格典雅、明快、轻巧。

　　这一《 G大调小步舞曲》是在当时作者所写的众多小步舞曲和德国舞曲中，最著名的作品，它曾被改编成小提琴独奏曲、弦乐四重奏曲乃至轻音乐等各种形式，并以《贝多芬小步舞曲》之名广受听众的喜爱。本曲为典型的“三段体”结构，第一主题婉转如歌，第二主题带有活泼、跳跃的性质。（摘自网络）
