"Evacuate the Dancefloor" is a song by the German group Cascada from their third studio album of the same name, Evacuate the Dancefloor (2009). The song features a guest rap from German rapper Carlprit and was released as the album's lead single in the United Kingdom on June 29, 2009 by All Around the World and debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart the week of July 5, 2009. It also became the act's third number-one single on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart and second top forty hit on the Billboard Hot 100, following 2006's "Everytime We Touch". The song has so far peaked at number two in Ireland and New Zealand. Cascada為人熟知的作品還有《Miracle》、《Bad Boy》、《How Do You Do!》以及無數的混音作品。 Evacuate the Dancefloor (Oh) Turn up the music Let´s get out on the floor I like to move it Come and give me some more Watch me getting physical Out of control, Ah There’s people watching me, Ah I never miss a beat Still the night, kill the lights Feel it under your skin Time is right, keep it tight ‘Cause it’s pulling you in Wrap it up you can’t stop ‘Cause it feels like an overdose (feels like an overdose) Oh, oh Evacuate the dancefloor Oh, oh I’m infected by the sound Oh, oh Stop this beat is killing me Hey Dr. DJ let the music take me underground (Everybody in the club) Oh, oh Evacuate the dancefloor Oh, oh I’m infected by the sound (Everybody in the club) Oh, oh Stop this beat is killing me Hey Dr. DJ come burn this place right down to the ground (Oh) My body’s aching System overload Temperature’s rising I’m about to explode Watch me I’m intoxicated Taking the show, Ah It`s got me hypnotized, Ah Everybody step aside Still the night, kill the lights Feel it under your skin Time is right, keep it tight ‘Cause it’s pulling you in Wrap it up you can’t stop ‘Cause it feels like an overdose (feels like an overdose) Oh, oh Evacuate the dancefloor Oh, oh I’m infected by the sound Oh, oh Stop this beat is killing me Hey Dr. DJ let the music take me underground (Everybody in the club) Oh, oh Evacuate the dancefloor Oh, oh I’m infected by the sound (Everybody in the club) Oh, oh Stop this beat is killing me Hey Dr. DJ come burn this place right down to the ground Come on and evacuate Feel the club is heating up Move on and accelerate Push it to the top Come on and evacuate Feel the club is heating up Move on and accelerate You don’t have to be afraid Now guess who’s back with a brand new track? In an interview with David Balls of Digital Spy, Horler insisted that the song was written before May 2008 stating: I don't like the term rip-off because it's a bit negative. We started the album [in early to mid 2008] and 'Evacuate' was one of the first songs that we recorded when Lady Gaga wasn't even around. Someone told me they read on the Internet that we actually inspired her. I don't know if it's true, but that would be amazing. We've been around for a long time and we've worked hard for our success, so there's no reason for us to throw away everything that we're respected for. You do evolve and progress and we're very proud of what's come of it. |
