| Baytex Energy Trust operates as an open-ended investment trust in Canada. The trust, through its subsidiary, Baytex Energy, Ltd., engages in the acquisition, development, and production of oil and natural gas in the western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. Its conventional oil and gas properties include Stoddart in British Columbia; and Garden Plains/Sedalia, Turin, Red Earth/Goodfish, Bon Accord, Leahurst, and Nina/Darw in Alberta. The company?s heavy oil properties include Ardmore, Cold Lake, and Seal in Alberta; and Tangleflags, Carrurthers, and Marsden/Epping/Macklin/Silverdale in Saskatchewan.
