THIRTY YEARS
I still remember that thirty years ago, we saw the both sides of the Chu river together. It was in May, and till the very hot summer. We watched the Turtle hill and the Snake hill from far.
Thirty years ago, we were so young, but we were not afraid of responsibilities, and sacrifications. While, we dropped ambitions, plans, and I feel shame that we didn’t keep our promises.
In the past thirty years, I had travelled around, and seen the beautiful world. But I never can forget my homeland. There, people are working hard for house and cars, and people are afraid to speak out thoughts.
In the past thirty years, I had grown grey hair, while age takes away health. And I am afraid, too. I am afraid that my young boy asks what’s the achievement in my life, and I have no answer but a long sigh.
