人的善恶

最近看了我认为非常好看的美剧叫”Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan”.  里面有一段对话印象至深.

CIA agent Jack 需要当地Turkey黑帮的人的帮助去寻找恐怖头子的妻子和女儿, 但是对他显出很不友好, 不喜欢他.  在去寻找人的车上, 黒帮的人对Jack说 “You don’t like me.  You think you’re the good guy and I’m the bad guy.  Maybe you’re right.  But maybe, if I was born in a nice city in America, I could be the good guy, too”.   (“你不喜欢我.  你认为你是好人, 而我是个坏人.  有可能你是对的.  但是假如我能出生在美国的一个好城市里, 我很可能也是一个好人”.)

“Geography is the destiny.  The world is the kiln, we are the clay”. ( “出身决定命运.  我们是世上的一粒尘埃, 怎奈和了命运”.  我这个中文翻译不好, 显示不出英文的气势.)

我认为这段话很有意思, 值得思考.  人的本性善恶共存, 但怎么表现, 俩者的比例多少, 往往和环境, geography, 利益冲突, 是有一定关联的.  知道了善恶都有, 是个正常现象, 也就没必要太脆弱.  谁说的 “Words don’t kill people, the weapons do”.
