marinate overnight in soy sauce, honey(or sugar), five-spice powder, & minced ginger, garlic. Keep all marinade. slice onions and layer them on bottom of baking sheet, sprinkle a little bit salt on them, and toss. place ribs along with all marinade. pour freshly squeezed orange juice all over ribs. cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil, bake at 300 F for 3~4 hours, and flip them half way (When turning ribs around, remember to spoon the good stuff in the pan over the ribs too). For the last 20 minutes, remove the cover of the pan, increase temperature a bit, and turn ribs frequently to thicken the sauce. I did it for 3 hours (ran out of patience & time), and it wasn't meat falling off the bone yet, but it was fork tender. |
