Structure of Tree (1)
Trees have the longest lifespan of all the
higher forms of life. Perhaps the greatest
survivors among them are the bristcone pines
(Pinus longeava) of California's white Mountains.
One specimen there, known appropriately as Methuselah, is estimated to be around 5,000
years old: it was a mere seedling when
the Egyptians built their pyramids.
All trees are classified as coniferous tree
and deciduous trees. Coniferous tree are also
know as evergreens. Deciduous trees will
drop their leaves in cold winter.
