昨晚在回家的地铁上看了一篇文章，讲一个剑桥大学物理学讲授的故事。
看完之后，我对这位老兄的高产真是心服口服，无话可说。你不服气？来看看这个list:
１。写了14本科普读物；
２。写了一个剧本，在意大利上演并得了奖；
３。定期给报纸杂质写专栏；
４。每年给30个左右的public lectures；
５。别急，他也做一个教授该做的事，那就是，教学科研及其他活动，他每年发表十篇左右的专业论文；
７。以上这一切都用的是他的half time，因为在另一半的half time，他是一个为公众普及数学知识的project的director。
这样一种多姿多彩的career，实在为我所向往，但我知道我不可能做到。
因为这篇文章说：
... two different approaches that people might take to the possibility of infinite life: the "Nows" would work incredibly hard because they would feel as if they had an infinite number of things to do, while the "Laters" would do very little as they had forever to do everythting.
显然，这位老兄属于前者，而我老人家不幸（仰或有幸？）属于后者。嘿嘿。 |
