Introduction A small dent can be pulled out with little difficulty. Instructions Difficulty: Moderate Steps 1 Step One Drill a hole in the center of the dent. 2 Step Two Insert a dent pulling tool in the hole. 3 Step Three Pull on the tool until the dent pops out or appears flat. 4 Step Four Remove the dent pulling tool. 5 Step Five Crawl under the car with a metalworking hammer and a dolly (see Glossary). 6 Step Six Bang out the back of the dent carefully until smooth. 7 Step Seven Fill the hole with body filler. 8 Step Eight Cover the area with touch-up paint. Tips & Warnings
* Large dents may be more easily fixed by replacing an entire body panel. * If the dent is on a fender, be careful not to pop the tire when drilling.
