Finding Philippe Hirshhorn on youtube is just one of those great moments. Have heard his playing over the years, continued to be amazed at his artistic sincerity along with a sense vulnerability, which makes his art uniquely appealing and great. He won Queen Elisabeth Competition, over the favorite Kremer. But he never received great international recognition, which is unfortunate for music fans. Among his students, is Janine Jansen.
